Partners renovate pipes beneath Berlin Cathedral

A special sewer rehabilitation project that required unique measures for more than one reason: a DN 150–DN 400 stormwater base pipe was severely damaged and stretched over 73 meters, including several changes in diameter. The perfect scenario for our partner companies Pipe Bull from Landau and Kilian Kanalsanierung from Fürth. While the ‘sewer bulls’ – specialists in in-house rehabilitation – developed a tailored rehabilitation concept and restored pipe sections up to DN 300, the experts from Kilian took care of the larger diameters. The duo worked trenchlessly, installed Brawoliner 3D liners, and managed to preserve as much of the original flooring in the listed, historically significant building as possible.

The DKS Group team completed the rehabilitation work in just ten working days, wrapping up in June 2024. An outstanding example of craftsmanship – and a great demonstration of how the DKS network combines strengths and expertise to deliver maximum quality and performance.
